  LOVE! This place is a great new local Italian Restaurant! The newly renovated dining area is really cozy and welcoming. The servers are all super sweet and attentive. The food..... don't get me started....but YUM. We went there on a busy Friday night and had the Antipasto Salad & Sicilian pizza. The house salad dressing sets the bar high for homemade Italian cuisine. I only wish I had snapped a picture of the pretty presentation of the salad. We ordered meatball and ricotta cheese on the pizza and it was AMAZING, not to mention.... huge!!! We had leftovers days after! 5 stars all around for an awesome new mom & pop restaurant!
  
  The beer selection could use a little work (none appealed to me). Maybe some wheat or lager beers. But other than that it was an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend it!

  This place used to be very good and we used to go there at least once a week. It has since gone downhill. The sauce is terrible and tasted burnt. Baked ziti was without ricotta cheese this time. Service was good though . Won't be going back!

  Friday the 13th. March 2015. 8:30 pm. A very long and arduous day, but a great day nonetheless. Not wanting to cook. Hoping to find something good to eat. Somewhere new and exciting. We decided to give Angelina's a go. Here's comes my version of a FOOD NOVEL.
  *****
  It's late, stomachs growling like a hungry panther, on the prowl for our next meal. The sun has once again slipped beneath the waves. Darkness reduces colors to mere shades of grey. Pools of color dance from neon, LED and tungsten lighting. Raindrops pitter patter on windshield, beckoning the sky faucet to open. We quickly find our way from the cozy dry comfort of our car to the aromatic Italian eatery of Angelina. We find the interior to be warm and inviting. Seated at a booth, how quaint, yet alluring and romantic.
  I find myself staring at this lovely, beguiling woman. Look away. Look away. But I cannot! Our eyes lock in a visual tug-of-war. I see past the glassy reflection, into her hungry inner self. I feel like the man I once was....I still am. I see this fair lady, this lovely being of human in front of me.
  Ahhhhh! Life is good. I am looking at my fiancee. One day she will become my wife.
  "Hello, Welcome to Angelina's!" breaks the spell as my head turns toward this new sound. We see before us a knowledgeable woman, menus and note pad in hand. She will be our guide into this culinary world on Cortez. We order some liquid libation.
  Winds howl. Roof sounds like giant footsteps as the heaven's unleash a fury of weather. A storm of vertical water blows by storefront window. Soon, black asphalt becomes cascading river torrents. The scene is now a waterfront piazza on the screen in our cinema of life.
  Fast forward to the juicy details. The meal. The pièce de résistance! I'm teased ever so slightly by the 'Soup du Jour". Split pea soup. I must have it and I soon find that I am NOT disappointed. Thick, chunky, rich and hot! The most delicious edition of pea soup to entice my taste receptors. Each savory mouthful creates within me a desire. A desire for more.
  Our server of all things Angelina lays before me....a plateful of decadence....Veal Rollatini. Tender veal wrapped with prosciutto, cheese and mountains of mushrooms. My mind races as I catch a wafting glimpse of food and wine essence swirling up and around my nose. My hand is deftly guiding my fork as I raise the first morsel to my lips. BANG! I'm hit with a wave of delightful sensation as I feel my heart beat against my chest. Oh! How I have longed for such a temptation to be served. Each successive mouthful arrives and delights, finding new senses to awaken. I am, very satisfied....
  Fiancee, dear one, has one thing on her mind.... Veal Francaise. Can she be so brazen as to want what I want? Almost..... I see her lips, her eyes as her face slowly rises. I see the look of complete contentment. Total delight. I know that look....
  Rain gone. Plates wiped clean with a swipe of great and gooey good garlic bread. A trail of bread crumbs lay like culinary clothing at the foot of a bed of once present pasta. This place, soon to become another obsession, has soothed and satisfied. Oh yes!
  As we ready to leave, our chef, master of all things Italian, comes into view. Per chance or not, maybe to see this table of newbies who rave so freely. Anthony is his name. The wisdom of age soon confirms that all here are as one in agreement. Food is love. Food is fun. Food is good. Handshakes begin what will become the next chapter at Angelina's.
  As we walk across the glistening black tarmac, I am compelled to look back. I see the once blinking OPEN sign is now void of light. The hour of 10 has come. The oven fire is flickering out. The magic pan, having served well, rests for another day. Job well done. Job, well done....
